Twitch Stream - STD

for Kollektiv Turmstrasse

The Corona period began in 2020 and was therefore a difficult time for artists to be constantly available, especially to their fans.

I designed a Twitch channel for collective Turmstrasse and conceptualized the content. This resulted in two topics that we wanted to push via Twitch in order to offer fans a channel during this difficult time where they could find out a little more about the Turmstrasse collective and keep in touch.

With the STD streams we invited the fans to the collective Turmstrasse studio and thus had the opportunity to officially watch Nico at work, ask questions or simply listen! That was well received.

In addition, I designed communication on social channels to achieve more traffic.

The Keyvisual

During the pandemic, when clubs were closed, we developed a Twitch stream concept for Kollektiv Turmstrasse to stay close to the fans. It had two formats. In a weekly gaming stream, Nico played with fans and other streamers and showed a more personal side. In a music stream, he talked live and directly with fans and fellow musicians about his music.

I designed one key visual for both formats. Red and blue light on a dark background, a bold italic "LIVE STREAM" and a fast horizontal line bring the energy of a live broadcast. The Kollektiv Turmstrasse wordmark on top keeps it clearly part of the brand. The platform icons for Twitch, YouTube and Facebook show at a glance where to tune in.

Stream Social Media Design

For the two stream formats I built a visual system for Instagram and other social channels. The music format and the gaming format each got their own identity, STD and BCKSTG, and both clearly belong to the Kollektiv Turmstrasse world.

The key element is a flowing line that shifts from red to blue and runs through every post, literally a common thread. Laid out side by side on the feed, the posts connect into one continuous picture. Flat illustrations such as headphones, drum machines, controllers, a pixel invader and a cat, along with hand-lettered type like "Let's Play!", give the series a playful gaming look aimed at the young Twitch audience. The black background, bold red and blue accents and the Kollektiv Turmstrasse wordmark keep the whole series consistent.

The Bags

Every bag is knitted by hand, so no two come out the same. Shapes shift from bucket to flap to tote, colours run from deep blue to red to soft mint, and each one gets its own strap — resin links, mixed beads, plain metal chain. One piece per design. Once it's gone, it's gone.
